2. SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you:
- visit the Service as a guest,
- create and use an account,
- submit or manage a Hytale server listing,
- vote on server listings,
- use our forms protected by anti-bot tools,
- use analytics or other site features.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites (including game servers, Discord servers, or other links) that you may access through the Service.
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information from you in three ways:
(A) information you provide,
(B) information collected automatically,
(C) information from third-party tools used on the Service.
A) Information you provide
Depending on how you use the Service, you may provide:
- Account information: such as email address, username/display name, and authentication-related data necessary to create and access your account (e.g., password hash or OAuth identifiers, depending on the login method we offer).
- Server listing content: such as server name, address/IP/domain, website/Discord link, description, tags, and any other information you add to a listing.
- Support/contact information: if you contact us, we may process the content of your message and relevant identifiers to respond.
- Purchase-related information (if/when promotions are purchased): billing/contact details needed to provide the service, issue confirmations, and handle refunds/chargebacks where applicable. Payment card data is typically processed by the payment provider, not stored by us.
Important: Please do not submit sensitive personal data (e.g., government IDs, medical information) into listing fields or public areas of the Service.
B) Information collected automatically (technical/usage/security)
When you use the Service, we may automatically collect:
- Device and browser data: such as browser type, operating system, language, and similar device identifiers.
- Log data: such as IP address, timestamps, pages viewed, actions taken, referral/exit pages, and error logs.
- Security signals: information used to protect the Service from spam, abuse, and automated traffic.
- Session data: information that allows us to maintain and secure your login sessions (see “Cookies” below).
C) Information from third-party tools we use
We use:
- Cloudflare Turnstile (anti-bot / fraud prevention on forms)
- Google Analytics 4 (website analytics)
- Google Tag Manager (tag management system used to deploy and manage analytics and other scripts)
These tools may collect or receive technical identifiers and usage data as described further in Sections 6 and 7.
4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the Service (account features, server listings, voting, ranking, and browsing).
- To authenticate users and maintain secure sessions.
- To prevent fraud, spam, vote manipulation, and abuse, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
- To moderate user-generated content and remove prohibited content.

7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES WE USE
A) Cloudflare Turnstile (anti-bot)
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect forms from automated abuse. Turnstile evaluates technical signals and risk indicators to help distinguish humans from bots.
B) Google Analytics 4 (analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Service. Depending on configuration and consent, Google Analytics may use cookies and collect usage data.
C) Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to manage and deploy scripts and tags on the Service (such as analytics or measurement tools). Google Tag Manager itself does not collect personal data, but it may load third-party services that do, depending on configuration and your consent settings.
8. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
We may share information:
- With service providers who help us operate the Service.
- With payment providers (if/when promotions are purchased).
